Greetings, grace, peace, and love to you in the name of God, our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I am Rev. Reginald Stevens, Pastor of Immanuel Church of Jesus Christ. I thank God for this privilege to share with you a Daily Dose of Encouragement.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”In-Article”]

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said and cried out in fear.

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”(Matt 14:22-33).

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

As you face the challenges of the recent storm, God wants you to hold on to your faith and fear not. God wants you to remember all he has shown and done you. God wants you to place your trust in Him. When the weather is good, we praise God. When the storm comes, we quickly turn away from God as if He is no longer there. God finds it amazing how one minute you praise him, and the next moment you run in fear as if He is not even there. Do you think that God has abandoned you as if He is afraid of the storm?  God wants you to keep your focus on Jesus.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”In-Article”]

Peter wanted to come to Jesus walking on water in the storm. Peter knew that his request defies science, even so He knew that If Jesus allow him to do so he could. He Had faith in Jesus. We are faced with a raging storm, a viral pestilence. This storm is very deadly and destructive as the storm Peter faced, but because he trusted in Christ, He was able to walk on the water. It was not until He took His focus off Jesus and allowed fear produced by the storm to invade his mind. He then put his focus on what the storm can do, and the impossibility of surviving its devasting evil power. This is when he began to sink and call out to Jesus, Jesus immediately reached out and took him by the hand and saved him from the storm.

You may ask, does God want me to act as if the storm is not there? No, God wants you to not fear the storm. God wants you to know that when you go through the storm He is with you, God wants you to trust Him in the storm, God wants you to know that He will bring you through the storm,

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

all you need to do is trust Jesus. God expects you to exercise caution, God expects you to do everything you can, not to be infectious, to yourself and to others. God expects you to pray, God wants to enable you to weather the storm. When Storms develop some of them are capable of doing damage which is apocalyptical in nature. God wants us to continue living and placing our trust in Him. David said” though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil. This corona Virus is a storm that is apocalyptic in nature and has already killed thousands of people. This storm has cast a giant shadow of death encompassing the face of the earth. God wants you to fear not this evil enemy, God wants you to know that with him you can come through this storm, unharmed, God wants you to know that your salvation is secure. and if things come to their best, you will pass from death to life in Jesus Christ. God bless You, my friends, If you have not asked Jesus to save you don’t waste any more time. This I can tell you, we are closer to the end now then we were when we first began. God loves you, but time won’t wait. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life (John 3:16).

If you believe tell someone. [xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”]

God Bless You

Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation—The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches, feed me with food convenient for me: lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the L ORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
The L ORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul—I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible—He that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth—The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations.

When they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost—Take … no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
The God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God—He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong—I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me—O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.

God … hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son … who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high—He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold … but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you—The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

NO ONE IS BEYOND THE REACH OF GOD’S GRACE

NO ONE IS BEYOND THE REACH OF GOD’S GRACE

The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.”

But Peter said, “Not so, Lord!  I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”

And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.

PRAYER.

Good morning grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. I am so glad to see you here today. I thank God for you. God wants you to know that He Loves you. If you think that God doesn’t love you consider this, God has done everything He could do to show you that he does. What more can He do?

God chose you to be with Him before the foundations of the world. Before He created anything, He chose you and me in Jesus Christ. Just as he Chose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the people of Israel. God chose them from among all the people in the world. Not because of anything special in them but because He wanted to. He raised them up for the world to see through them His glory, and greatness, and that there is no other God but Him. He taught them what was right and acceptable in His sight, He taught them to love one another, and He taught them what it meant to worship God. He gave to them His oracles that they may follow. They were separated from all the other races in the world so as not to be influenced by them into living as they did until the promised deliverer, Christ our Lord.

Israel was to be an example to the world of how great and wonderful God is. So that others would want to also become people of God. Certain food was restricted by God for them to eat because the food was sacrificed to pagan gods. These foods were called unclean.

he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth.

In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat” (Acts 10:12,13).

Just as the food was restricted for them to eat God also did not permit them to socialize with other people outside of their people. They were not allowed to live among so-called pagan people. They had pride among themselves that they were people of God. They looked down on all other races, just as the food they ate they considered to be pure, they also considered they were a better race. Many of them also wanted to be like other nations of the earth with kings and queens and man-made gods. “But when the fullness of time had come God sent forth His Son born of a woman born under the law to redeem those who are under the law so that we may receive adoption as sons” (Gal 4:4-6).

But Peter said, “Not so, Lord!  I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”(Acts 10:14).

One thing we should notice is that Peter said no, not so Lord. Jesus Said in Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me Lord and do not what I say”? These two words don’t go together. No and Lord. When you call Him Lord, you are saying you are devoted to Him and you respect Him, you trust Him, you worship him and serve Him, and whatever He wishes you to do, you will do. Jesus said you call me Lord, Lord but you do not the things I say (Luke 6:46).

And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common” (Acts 10:15). Peter didn’t understand this vision it had gone against everything he had learned, all of his life. These animals were created by God there was nothing intrinsically evil about these animals, they’re being sacrificed to other gods didn’t make them evil because men made sacrifices of them to a piece of wood or carved stone. The wood and the stone were just what they were, wood and stone. The problem was the hearts of men. There is only one God, one Lord.

God did not want them to be influenced by mingling with other races and becoming contaminated with idol worshippers.

There is a new economy, and just as no animal is intrinsically evil, no person is more or less evil or beyond the grace of God. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Roman 3:23). Jesus said that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. The Key is whosoever. Not only is it now legal to eat all meats, but God also made it possible for all men to be saved through belief in His Son and to worship Him.

This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again (Acts 10:16).

God told Cornelius a centurion and a gentile to send his servants to get Peter, Peter came down from the roof and went with them to Cornelius. He received Peter gracefully, and then Peter understood the vision God had given Him. That God’s grace has come to Gentiles as well as the Jews. God is the creator of all men. And His gift of grace is for all who believe in Jesus Christ. After Peter preached to Cornelius, he and all His household believed, and they were all saved.

Does this mean we should live like those who don’t believe? certainly not.

You are to show them the way. If Jesus is in your life you will change, your life will reflect it. Others will know you are different from them. How you carry your self is very important. Just because someone else is prejudice, you can’t be that way. You cannot choose who gets God’s grace. This is what Jonah tried to do because he was prejudice to Nineveh and felt they didn’t deserve God’s mercy. He was wrong the decision was God’s mercy was God’s to give. Thrust in the Lord, He will protect your heart, and through you He will lead others to Christ.

Don’t be ashamed, God took the shame of the cross away when He raised Jesus from the dead with great power. I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes first to the Jew and then to the Gentile.

Have you come to believe in Jesus, do you believe that God sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe shall not perish but shall have everlasting life? Choose today, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Amen. Come today. Amen

Lord God Thank you for these your people, Bless them Today lord give them the courage today to share your word with others, that they may lead others to your Son, Jesus Christ Amen.

There Is No Neutral Ground

Friends Grace and peace to you and your families in the name of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus used examples out of the natural order of things in order for us to understand things that are spiritual in nature. If we understand these things in the natural order it will help us understand the spiritual truth.

Greetings my friends, grace, and peace to you in the name of God our Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. I thank God for you, my friends. You are faced daily with challenges that test you to your very core. In many ways, we face the same challenges, and those challenges are common to most people. To top that off we face personal challenges that add to the common ones. If that is not enough there are challenges that we must face that are inherent in the system of this world. I know it is a challenge for you to resist the temptations that are presented to you to by the world.  You see the lies that are masquerading as the truth. You see the truths which are being declared to be lies. You see the easy way out disguised as the right way out. The wrong way seems better than the right way, and the right way looks to be the wrong way. Lord God, you are the light that shines in the hearts of men that open our eyes that we may see the truth as it really is. Help me to shine your light to the eyes of the minds of my brothers and sisters so that they may be guided by your truth concerning your way is the best way. That we may be encouraged in our walk. Thank You, Father, in Jesus’s name Amen.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

My friends because we live in this world and we are not part of this world. Some of the challenges we face are common to us in the sense that many of us face the same problems, for example, many of us are out of work, and many of us who do have jobs face problems on that job. some of us cause our own problems in our jobs and some of us face problems that are not in our control and we have to face the pressure of possibly losing the job that we need to take care of our families. Your bills get behind because of some unforeseen incident involving a member of your family or friend and you help them and you fall short on your rent, you get robbed, or God forbid you get sick, or you make a costly mistake with your money.  You then seek help and everyone sympathizes with you, but no one helps you. Some of us will swallow our pride and even go to the church and the church say we will pray for you, and yet won’t help. But the people you know that are doing financially well and they don’t have a legitimate job like you joyfully reach out to help you when no one else will. Now you think it over and consider the cost and even though it tears away at your very conscious you turn it down knowing that you are not going to be able to provide food for your wife and children or lose the shelter God has enabled you to provide for your family. You have done everything you can do and it failed except one. Jesus said come to me all who are a burden and heavy laden and I will give you rest. The first person we should have come to was the last and just at the right time Jesus made everything right, Amen. Many of us who are Christians find ourselves in situations like this. Don’t feel alone, thank God for caring for you.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

My friends, we don’t see things as they truly are. The scripture says that by faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible. We don’t see things as they truly are. We think we know, we interpret what we see to be the truth and many times it is not true at all. For example, you can take a glass of water and place a pencil in it and the pencil will look as though it is bent. We don’t see the pencil as it really is. our vision is refracted. God’s word tells us that we don’t see the world as it really is. For now, we see things only as a reflection as in a mirror. then we shall see face to face. now I know in part, then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. The king of Syria sent a host of troops to find and take Elisha into captivity because he was angry that Elisha warned The king of Isreal of the trap the king of Syria had laid for Israel’s destruction. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, Behold, a host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. and his servant said unto him, alas master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that are with us are more than they that are with them. And Elisha prayed and said Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man: and he saw, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. You may not see it but this you can be sure of, God is in control and He Love you and He has you securely in His Hand, Amen.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

God is so good to us, God is wonderful, extraordinary, munificent, merciful, immeasurable, kind, loving and caring. God is so good that there is no evil in Him at all. God is so good and so generous,  God is the King of Kings, God is the Lord Of Lords, God is the Hero who rescued His people from horrors of death and Hell. Our eyes can’t see the wonderful things that He is doing for those who love Him, God is Faithful and will do everything He has said He will do. Everything that is seen and everything that is not seen is ultimately subject to the authority of Word of God’s Power and His will be done. My friends God is Holy, He is spiritually pure. God has never been wrong and can never be wrong. God’s Holiness demands that God destroy Evil. Evil is against the very nature of God and God must destroy evil.  God’s plan is to destroy, eradicate all evil from the world. Because God is true to Himself, just as those of us that are saved is considered by God to be seated in Heaven alongside Christ in the same way evil is consider eradicated by God. In other words, it’s a done deal. It will be done, nothing absolutely nothing can stop it, It will be done Amen. To us right now evil is currently being destroyed. To God, it is as well as done.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

My friends the world is full of deception, evil is being destroyed and is fighting as hard as it can to take as many people as it can with it to hell. Hold on to Jesus. We sometimes go through tough times, and life becomes very difficult. Place your trust in God, God loves you and He is with you. God will not abandon you or allow you to suffer more than you can bear. When He lifts you up you won’t even remember the pain of being down because of the Joy you experience knowing that God lifted you up and placed you back on your feet making you better then you were before you fell down, hallelujah, thank you, Lord Jesus. Brethren, friends as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear has heard nor has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Glory be to God! Thank You, Jesus.  From everlasting to everlasting. time without end thou are God, Amen

My friends that are not saved, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. Jesus said I Am the way and the truth and the life and no one can come to the Father except by me. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. You are reading this message because God loves you and this is your opportunity receive the gift of eternal life, Believe in Jesus death on the cross for your sins, do it today, God will reward you. Amen

Greetings my friends’ grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is good and has brought us to this new year, May God bless you this year and many more years to come. I thank God for you and this wonderful opportunity to share with you His wonderful word for our lives.

My friends, there is so much evil going on around us, murder, rape, robbery, thief, child neglect, crimes against children, homelessness, unemployment, corrupt law enforcement, and politicians, outrageous bills, everything you can possibly think of that makes life difficult. The influence of evil around you has a goal to return to the very place God has rescued from. Returning you to a state of captivity to sin and fear and hopelessness. Evil wants you to take your eyes off Jesus. My friends, remember God loves you, you know where he has brought you from, You have tasted choice wine, there is none better in all of the universes. We don’t have to fear or worry, because God fulfills all our needs. We were dead but now we are alive, we were blind but now we see, praise God. Let us rejoice in the face of evil.

Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:4-7).

My friends’ let’s rejoice in the Lord, Let us stand up as Christians before all men, no matter what problems we may face, we know that we can pray to God and He will answer our prayer. those who are without God can’t turn to God for help if they did He won’t here them, those who live evil don’t have a life of peace. They can’t sleep well at night, but God in such a way that transcends all understanding give us peace and protects our hearts and our minds, in Christ Jesus. Amen, When I have done all that I can do, I know I can call on God, I can place before Him my petition, He allows us to come to him with our concerns, and with our desires. He loves us and cares enough for us that He supplies all our needs and rewards us with some of what we want. Amen praise God. I rejoice because I know what God has done for me, continually. He loved us so much He gave His Son to die on the cross for you and for me. If God loves us that much He will not deny us any good thing, Amen.

God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life (John 3:16). Do you believe? If so contact me.
