Of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch—The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance—The coming of the L ORD draweth nigh. The judge standeth before the door—Surely I come quickly.
Seeing … that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?
The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer—Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief—In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners—That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation.
Jesus of Nazareth … went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him—As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world—Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Who is like unto thee, O L ORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?—Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O L ORD; neither are there any works like unto thy works—Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy—Hallowed be thy name.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people.
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save—I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us … be glory.

The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity—Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity—The L ORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me—Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm—The L ORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying, The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake—O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name’s sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee. We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.
If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests—Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
Ye shall be named the Priests of the L ORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God—Priests of God and of Christ.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus—By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them—The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life—Death and life are in the power of the tongue—The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart: none of his steps shall slide—Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard—I believed, therefore have I spoken.
Whosoever … shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven—With the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them … to search out a resting place for them.

My times are in thy hand—He shall choose our inheritance for us—Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness … make thy way straight before my face.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass—In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths—Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters—Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust—Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things—Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

The L ORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand .

Blessed is every one that feareth the L ORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee—Trust in the L ORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the L ORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart—Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the L ORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
As long as he sought the L ORD, God made him to prosper—Beware that thou forget not the L ORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: and thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Is not the L ORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side?

June 24, 2019

Greetings my friends, Grace, and peace to you in the name of God our Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Thank God for you and your families. God is good and His mercy endures forever. I thank God for this opportunity to share His word with you. There is nothing more gratifying than to be in God’s service, sharing His word with His people. Every Christian should be aware that the enemy is among us, and he is vicious. He will use anyone he can to stop people from becoming members of God’s family or to stop God’s people from benefitting from God’s blessing. Even if you are members of God’s family the enemy can and will use you if you allow him. Lord Help me to share an encouraging word to your people and those who desire to be a part of your family, thank you in Jesus name Amen.

And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell. (James 3:6).

My friends the enemy is hiding in plain sight, he is waiting for the right opportunity to use you in such a way that you will do irreparable harm to someone who has never harmed you in any way. You must be aware of the communication coming from your mouth especially when it concerns someone besides yourself. A person who is able to control His tongue is a person that is able to bring his or her entire body under control and in subjection to the truth. With the tongue, a person is able to build you up and encourage you, it is also true that with the tongue a person is also able to bring you down, break your heart, and even disrupt your life as you know it.  When we are subjected to this menacing type of behavior we are surprised, one would expect this type of assault to come from someone outside the church, or outside of your family, this you can handle. but when it comes from people you love and hold in very high esteem, the injury is deeper than anything you could ever imagine. That is why it is so devasting, it comes from people you have invested your life, people who you admire and value their friendship, they are Christian people like your self, only they are not living according to Christian ethics, and moral values, they are living according to the ways of the world.

We all stumble, none of us are perfect but that is not an excuse for us not to exhibit self-control in what we are communicating out of our mouths. It comes out of our mouths as a little spark and the next thing you know it becomes a raging fire able to destroy an entire forest. It is the same mouth that speaks of praises to God and turn around the next second and pronounces curses to men, and offend God. This type of behavior is not right. Bitter and sweet cannot come from the same source. either it is bitter or it is sweet. This type of behavior is sinful. You know a tree by its fruit. A bad tree cannot give good fruit. This type of behavior is demonic and comes from a person that is bitter, jealous, arrogant, and has selfish ambitions in their hearts. This type of communication did not come from above, it is earthly. Where ever you find this type of behavior you’ll find disorder and every evil thing. God will hold us responsible for the words that come from our mouths. You can not have dual citizenship, you can’t be a citizen of Heaven and a citizen of the world. What comes from your mouth allow others to determine that which is in your heart, whether you are inclined toward God in Heaven or inclined toward the ways of the world that leads to Hell.

My friends God wants us to use the wisdom that comes from above, which is first of all pure, peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruit, unwavering, without hypocrisy. God wants us to love one another. treat each other with dignity and respect. Pray for one another, and be kind and lift up one another. We must be true to our faith from inside out. We must be aware of how we conduct ourselves, what we say and what we do. Those who are not Christians observe us. What they see us do can have an influence on their decision to become a Christian. If an unsaved person witnesses the type of behavior that is contrary to how they perceive a Christian should conduct themselves, that could be the excuse they need to reject Christ. Let us use our voices to help others know about Jesus. Let us use our voice to help each other and not tear each other down. Let us use our voice to Glorify God. Let us not allow our communication to take our eyes off the prize which is Jesus Christ our Lord.

Remember, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No one is innocent but Jesus. We all have a past and God forgave us because of the work His Son did on the cross on our behalf, not because of anything special in ourselves, our righteousness is like filthy rags before God. Not one of us deserves what God has done for us. Everyone that is a Christian came the same way. There is only one way if there was another way God would have given it. Jesus said you must be born again. my friends the only way you can be born again, you must come to Jesus. Jesus said ” I Am the way and the truth and the life, no one can come to my Father, except by me”(John 14:6). If this message has helped you to understand what God has done for you, don’t put it off any longer, believe in Jesus today He loves you. Thank You, Lord, Amen.

God Bless You

Rev. Reginald Stevens
