[xyz-ihs snippet=”Testflight-2″]      When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and poured perfume on them.
When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”
Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”
“Tell me, teacher,” he said.
“Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”
Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”
“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.
Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace”(Luke 7:36-50).

In the days when Jesus was here,  it was customary to recline while eating. dinner quest would lie on coaches with their heads near the table. they would prompt themselves upon their elbow and stretch their feet out behind them. The woman could easily wash his feet without approaching the table. There were several customs that were not observed, or extended to Jesus, as a quest in the house of Simon who was a pharisee. Simon observed what the woman was doing and also recognized the type of woman she was. He immediately said to himself that this was proof that Jesus was not a prophet, because He didn’t reject the woman who was washing his feet. Jesus having omniscience knew what he was thinking. through the use of a parable, Jesus ask Simon who would be more grateful for the forgiveness of the debt? Simon said that it would be the one who had the most debt.

Jesus pointed out Simon’s inconsistencies. It was customary for a quest to be greeted with a kiss, it was customary to anoint the quest head with olive oil because people wore sandals it was customary to wash their feet. Jesus explained to Simon that this sinful woman who has sinned much has washed his feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair, Simon you wouldn’t even give me the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has covered my feet with expensive perfume, you wouldn’t give me the customary kiss, but this woman has not stopped kissing my feet. Jesus said “therefore her sins and there are many are forgiven, for she loved me much, but one who is forgiven little show little love. It is the grateful prostitute whose sin is forgiven and not the stingy religious leaders. It is God’s grace through faith that sins are forgiven and not acts of love or generosity. Her act demonstrated her true faith and Jesus honored her faith. Overflowing love is the natural response to forgiveness. Only those who realize the depth of their sin can appreciate the complete forgiveness God offers. Do you appreciate the wideness of God’s mercy? are you grateful for his forgiveness?

The Unforgivable Sin

[xyz-ihs snippet=”Testflight-2″]

Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him so that he could both talk and see. All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”
But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
“Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Sometimes believers worry that they have accidentally committed the unforgivable sin, but only those who have turned their backs on God and rejected all faith have any need to worry. Jesus said they can’t be forgiven. Not because their sin is any more or less worse than any other, but because they will never ask for forgiveness. whoever rejects the prompting of the Holy Spirit removes himself or herself from the only force that can lead him or her to repentance and restoration to God.

The Pharisees had already accused Jesus of being in league with the devil (Satan) (Matt 9:34). They were trying to discredit Him by using an emotional argument. Refusing to believe that Jesus came from God. They said he was from Satan. Jesus easily exposed the foolishness of their argument. Jesus said “Even blasphemy against me or any other sin can be forgiven- all except one: speaking against the Holy Spirit shall never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come. Can you ask God for forgiveness? Here is how, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. Ask Jesus to forgive you today, don’t be afraid. God bless you.

In The Eyes Of God                                              [xyz-ihs snippet=”Testflight-2″]

after this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means(Luke 8:1-3).

As God’s people, He equips us for various tasks. All of the tasks He equips us for all lead to the same goal, honoring God. Each of us men and women has a role which carries exclusive privileges that should eliminate any attitudes about a superior or inferior sex, or race. Jesus lifted women up from their lowly state of agony and degradation and servitude to the joy of fellowship and service. I Jewish culture, women was not allowed to learn from rabbis. This attitude more than likely trickled to other races and was followed as the norm of society s a whole. This holds true even unto today in many cultures. By allowing these women to travel with him, Jesus was showing that in the eyes of God all people are equal. The women here that traveled with Jesus supported the ministry with their own money. A great debt was owed to him because he had driven demons from some and had healed others. Just as in the church you have people that work in the background, behind the scene. Often it is the people who work behind the scenes that support the ministry and their work, in this case, their the women who traveled with Jesus their work is no less essential. Whether you are going to be on center stage or not offer your resources to God.

Rest for Your Soul                          [xyz-ihs snippet=”testflight”]

Farmers use to place yokes around an oxen’s shoulders, and they would attach a plow to it so that the ox can plow the land. In the book of Matt 11:25-30 Jesus said, “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding the truth from those who think themselves so wise and for revealing it to the little children. Yes, Father, for it please you to do it this way.

My Father has given me authority over everything, no one really knows the Son except the Father and no one really knows the Father except the Son and those whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Then Jesus said “come to me all who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke fits perfectly and the burden I give you is light.

You could be carrying heavy burdens of sin, excessive demands of religious leaders, (Matthew 23:4), (Acts 15:10) oppression and persecution, or weariness in the search for God. Jesus frees people from all these burdens. The rest that Jesus promise is love, healing, and peace with God, not the end of all labor. A relationship God changes meaningless wearisome toil into spiritual productivity and purpose.

The “wise – arrogant in their own knowledge, and the” little children” humbly open to receive the truth of God’s word. Are you wise in your own eyes, or do you seek the truth with childlike faith, realizing that only God holds all the answers? Come to Jesus with your burdens. Turn them over to him he will give you rest. [xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”]

GOD IS FOR US

[xyz-ihs snippet=”testflight”]

Greetings my friends, grace and peace tp you in the name of God our Father and the lord Jesus Christ. I thank God for enabling me to share with you His word of hope, love and security. Lord I ask that you be with me as I share your word with your people. In  days like these it certainly does the hearts of your people good to know that you are on our side. There is no better  security than what you provide, the creator of the universe and the giver and the sustainer of life protecting us and showing us the way. Lord fill me with your spirit, lead and guide me help me to  say those things that you would have me to say, to edify your people. I thank you Lord and I will always remember to give you the glory in Jesus name. Amen.

Brothers and sisters we are in a time of  political chaos. We are approaching election time. As you know there are several elections that will be taking place in our country. Presidential, congressional, senatorial, governor, etc. Everyone is competing for your vote. Right or wrong everyone in this country who is a citizen has the right to vote. Not everyone will vote because  the enemy is always devising a plan to deny people their right to vote. You are casting your vote to choose a representative who will protect your interests and protect your human rights as a citizen in this country. The constitution states that all men are born with inalienable rights and that all men are created equal. Thats true. All of these candidates slug it out, and in the end one of them win. Many votes, many fights, much deception and one win.

Romans 8:28-39

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
More Than Conquerors
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life —is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is another election I want to tell you about. In this election everyone on earth is a nominee. Everyone that excepts the vote that counts is elected. God cast a vote for each of us. Jesus His Son is the form of the vote. We place our trust in Him, If we honor his loving lordship we are promised the victory. We are called, and elected.

How safe do you feel in Christ? I don’t want to give comfort to anyone who is living outside of Christ. Listen my friends God’s promises doesn’t cover unbelievers. What we need to do is let God’s word change us, we need to let God’s word give a different prospective prospective to worried Christians and worried churches.

I. First Reminder (8:33-34)

A.   Christ Died and was buried dragging sin under with Him

B. He has been raised,   overwhelming death with great power.

C. He is ascended to be our ready representative and friend.

II. Assurance

A. God is for us who can be against us ?

B. His love is as great as He is.

C. If He Justifies us who can go against us?

III.  Our Equipment

A. We have puny pressures against us ( trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, sword). This is puny compared to our equipper and the equipment.

B. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, Not deaths crush and not life’s pressures, nothing from the world of spirits, neither present difficulties, nor anything that come along later, No created thing, can interfere with our rescue by God, The uncreated

Worry don’t have any place in the life of a Christian. I’m sick from worry, worrying will make you sick. It is the  most disintegrating enemy of human personality,” Worry is wicked.

Someone may ask, Is apprehension the same? well apprehension means fear, dread, the expectation of evil. it is every bit as bad.

Worries fall into three categories

Past  Paul Said ”  forgetting what is behind  (Phil 3:13)

future.  90% of your worries for the future will not happen

present  ” God is For Us”

IF you are a unbeliever God wants to be for you. He love you so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ, who has never sinned to take the sins of the entire world and die on the cross as payment for our sins. God said if you believe in Him and the work He did dying on the cross you will receive eternal life,  Can you trust God? will you trust God. believe right now. Don’t put it off until tomorrow, because tomorrow is not promise, the only time you can count on is right now.

Great God and Father of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ father we ask that you open our hearts and minds so that when we meditate on this message we can apply it to our lives and to our understanding. Lord we ask that you continue being with us, lead , guide and direct us. We pray for all those who has been affected by the virus Lord we ask that you have mercy on them and heal them Lord, we pray for the doctors and nurses, lab techs, everyone on the care team, Lord we ask for their protection. Thank You Lord and we will always remember that you are the only one who can keep us from failing, Father may Glory be to you in the church and in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

Greetings, grace, peace, and love to you in the name of God, our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I am Rev. Reginald Stevens, Pastor of Immanuel Church of Jesus Christ. I thank God for this privilege to share with you a Daily Dose of Encouragement.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”In-Article”]

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said and cried out in fear.

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”(Matt 14:22-33).

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

As you face the challenges of the recent storm, God wants you to hold on to your faith and fear not. God wants you to remember all he has shown and done you. God wants you to place your trust in Him. When the weather is good, we praise God. When the storm comes, we quickly turn away from God as if He is no longer there. God finds it amazing how one minute you praise him, and the next moment you run in fear as if He is not even there. Do you think that God has abandoned you as if He is afraid of the storm?  God wants you to keep your focus on Jesus.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”In-Article”]

Peter wanted to come to Jesus walking on water in the storm. Peter knew that his request defies science, even so He knew that If Jesus allow him to do so he could. He Had faith in Jesus. We are faced with a raging storm, a viral pestilence. This storm is very deadly and destructive as the storm Peter faced, but because he trusted in Christ, He was able to walk on the water. It was not until He took His focus off Jesus and allowed fear produced by the storm to invade his mind. He then put his focus on what the storm can do, and the impossibility of surviving its devasting evil power. This is when he began to sink and call out to Jesus, Jesus immediately reached out and took him by the hand and saved him from the storm.

You may ask, does God want me to act as if the storm is not there? No, God wants you to not fear the storm. God wants you to know that when you go through the storm He is with you, God wants you to trust Him in the storm, God wants you to know that He will bring you through the storm,

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

all you need to do is trust Jesus. God expects you to exercise caution, God expects you to do everything you can, not to be infectious, to yourself and to others. God expects you to pray, God wants to enable you to weather the storm. When Storms develop some of them are capable of doing damage which is apocalyptical in nature. God wants us to continue living and placing our trust in Him. David said” though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil. This corona Virus is a storm that is apocalyptic in nature and has already killed thousands of people. This storm has cast a giant shadow of death encompassing the face of the earth. God wants you to fear not this evil enemy, God wants you to know that with him you can come through this storm, unharmed, God wants you to know that your salvation is secure. and if things come to their best, you will pass from death to life in Jesus Christ. God bless You, my friends, If you have not asked Jesus to save you don’t waste any more time. This I can tell you, we are closer to the end now then we were when we first began. God loves you, but time won’t wait. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life (John 3:16).

If you believe tell someone. [xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”]

God Bless You

Rev. Reginald Stevens

Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation—The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches, feed me with food convenient for me: lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the L ORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
The L ORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul—I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible—He that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth—The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations.

God … hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son … who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high—He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold … but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you—The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
