Nicodemus visits Jesus at night

John 3:9-17

Nicodemus Visits Jesus By Night

What do you mean?” Nicodemus asked.

Jesus replied, “You, a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don’t understand these things? I am telling you what I know and have seen—and yet you won’t believe me. But if you don’t even believe me when I tell you about such things as these that happen here among men, how can you possibly believe if I tell you what is going on in heaven? For only I, the Messiah, have come to earth and will return to heaven again. And as Moses in the wilderness lifted up the bronze image of a serpent on a pole, even so I must be lifted up upon a pole, so that anyone who believes in me will have eternal life. God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.”

When the Israelites were wandering in the wilderness, God sent a plague of serpents to punish the people for their rebellious attitude. Those doomed to die from snakebite could be healed by obeying God’s command to look up at the elevated bronze serpent and by believing that God would heal them if they did.

The Gospel

The entire gospel comes to a focus in John 3:16. God’s love is not static or self-centered; it reaches out and draws others in. Here God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships—when you love someone dearly, you are willing to give freely to the point of self-sacrifice. God paid dearly with the life of his Son, the highest price he could pay. Jesus accepted our punishment, paid the price for our sins, and then offered us the new life that he had bought for us. When we share the gospel with others, our love must be like Jesus’—willingly giving up our own comfort and security so that others might join us in receiving God’s love. To “believe” is more than an intellectual agreement that Jesus is God. It means to put our trust and confidence in him that he alone can save us. It is to put Christ in charge of our present plans and eternal destiny. Believing is both trusting his words as reliable and relying on him for the power to change. If you have never trusted Christ, let this promise of everlasting life be yours … and believe.

Promises Promises Promises

Greetings My friends in the name of God our Father and His Son and The Holy Spirit.

Thank God for you and your families. Lord please lead and guide me as I speak to my friends,

my brothers, and sisters that know you and my friends that don’t. It is my which that after hearing

these words they will be drawn closer to you than ever before. Thank you, Lord  God, in Jesus Name,

Amen.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

When we say I promise, it means something to the person we are making the promise to.  When you or I promise

someone,  You are saying you can depend on me to carry out or give to you whatever is within the promise.

We are saying don’t worry, I give you my word, it shall be done. When we promise someone we are asking them to place

their trust in us. Just as when we borrow money from the bank, we sign contracts promising to pay the money back in

a timely manner. If we don’t pay the money back in a timely manner and we break our promise . If we pay on time

we build up trust with that company and they want to lend you more money, any time.

we all have made promises that we were not able to keep. The attitude in the world is that promises are meant to be broken.

we are taught to take most promises with a grain of salt.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

God take promises very seriously, He wants you and I to believe the promises that He makes. God is Immutable, He never changes,

His purpose never changes. To those of us who are heirs of God’s promise, He wants us to believe.

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: (6:17).

God’s promises are grounded in His character, He has the absolute ability and uncompromising integrity to fulfill them. It is so

important to God that His Children believe His promises that on several occasions He confirmed them with a sacred oath.

He was voluntary sworn by the highest authority in the universe, Himself (Gen 22:16, Isa 54:23, Jer 22:5). God’s promise and God’s oath

are two unchangeable things. They are fixed and they are immutable. They are as certain as the setting of the sun. The writer of Hebrew makes

clear that not all of God’s children will be heirs of God’s promise (Heb 6:12). The fault is not with God, but with men not fulfilling their part

in order to receive the inheritance. God by His grace made a promise of giving eternal life to who so ever believe that, God sent His only begotten Son

into the world to die for the sin of the world, and whoever believe that God’s Son died for their sin shall not perish but shall have everlasting Life. (John 3:16).

My friends God cannot break His promise, you can trust Him. God will never let you down.

Do you believe in Jesus?  Do you believe that He is the Son of God? Do you believe He died for your sin? Do you believe that He is alive right now?

If you do Congratulations, You are going to inherit eternal  Life.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”]

Jesus Got You

Greetings my friends’ grace and peace to you in the name of The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit.

I thank God for giving me this wonderful opportunity to share with you concerning all of the corruption that is taking place in the world today.

All around the world, people are allowing Satan to rule in their hearts and minds.  People are using every source of evil they can possibly use.

There is no limit to what Satan will have these people who are inhabited by demonic spirits. There is now an all-out attack on humanity.

Lord Help me to impress upon my brothers and sister’s how important it is to stay the course, keeping their eyes on the prize, In Jesus Christ our Lord.

Thank You, Lord, in Jesus name Amen.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

They are filled with every kind of sin, evil, selfishness, and hatred. They are full of jealousy, murder, fighting, lying, and thinking the worst about each other.

They gossip and say evil things about each other. They hate God. They are rude and conceited and brag about themselves. They invent ways of doing evil. They do not obey their parents.

They are foolish, they do not keep their promises, and they show no kindness or mercy to other people.

They know God’s law says that those who live like this should die. But they continue to do these evil things.

And they also feel that those who do these things are doing right. (Rom 1:29-31).

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

Paul brought it to our consciousness how as human beings we have fallen to a state of total depravity. People are capable of doing any amount of evil.

Jesus told us that these days are coming. My friends, they are here now. Police are killing those who they are sworn to protect, the president of the most

powerful country on earth is promoting violence and racism, the government is putting truth on trial, saying the truth is not truth.

People are being denied medical treatment and robbers, rapist and murderers just openly commit their crimes knowing that they won’t be caught.

My friends don’t fear, we serve an awesome God. Our God created the universe, with billions of galaxies and billions of stars,

and He currently holds everything together with the will of His power.  every atom, and every molecule of every galaxy, and every atom

and every molecule of everything on and around the milky way. It is this same Jesus who died on the cross for your sin and mine and the world.

It is He who this world and this earth belong. He is returning to rule the world. He is going to judge the world and all of its wickedness. If you have not been saved.

Jesus said that God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life (John 3:16)

If you believe, God has blessed you. If this is so Let me know. https://fromtimetoeternity.com/?p=3235&preview=true

To my brothers and sisters in Christ, Jesus Got us.  Amen.

The Blind Man Testimony

The Blind man Testify

 John 9:13-23

Then they took the man to the Pharisees. Now as it happened, this all occurred on a Sabbath. Then the Pharisees asked him all about it. So he told them how Jesus had smoothed the mud over his eyes, and when it was washed away, he could see!

Some of them said, “Then this fellow Jesus is not from God because he is working on the Sabbath.”

Others said, “But how could an ordinary sinner do such miracles?” So there was a deep division of opinion among them.

Then the Pharisees turned on the man who had been blind and demanded, “This man who opened your eyes—who do you say he is?”

“I think he must be a prophet sent from God,” the man replied.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

The Jewish leaders wouldn’t believe he had been blind until they called in his parents and asked them, “Is this your son? Was he born blind? If so, how can he see?”

His parents replied, “We know this is our son and that he was born blind, but we don’t know what happened to make him see, or who did it. He is old enough to speak for himself. Ask him.”

They said this in fear of the Jewish leaders who had announced that anyone saying Jesus was the Messiah would be excommunicated.

While the Pharisees conducted investigations and debated about Jesus, people were being healed and lives were being changed. The Pharisees’ skepticism was based not on insufficient evidence, but on jealousy of Jesus’ popularity and his influence on the people.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

Sabbath Rest

The Jewish Sabbath, Saturday, was the weekly holy day of rest. The Pharisees had made a long list of specific do’s and don’t’s regarding the Sabbath. Kneading the clay and healing the man were considered work and therefore were forbidden. Jesus may have purposely made the clay in order to emphasize his teaching about the Sabbath—that it is right to care for others’ needs even if it involves working on a day of rest. The Sabbath had two purposes: It was a time to rest and a time to remember what God had done. We need rest. Without the time out from the bustle, life loses its meaning. In our day, as in Moses’ day, taking time out is not easy. Your Sabbath rest may be different from others’; to you, gardening might be restful while someone else would consider it work. Don’t get bogged down in laws and judging. God created a Sabbath for you. He reminds us that without Sabbaths we will forget the purpose for all of our activity and lose the balance crucial to a faithful life. Make sure that your Sabbath provides a time of both refreshment and remembrance of God.

The Pool of Siloam

Jesus heals the man who was born blind

John 8:6-12

Then he spat on the ground and made mud from the spittle and smoothed the mud over the blind man’s eyes, and told him, “Go and wash in the Pool of Siloam” (the word Siloam means “sent”). So the man went where he was sent and washed and came back seeing!

His neighbors and others who knew him as a blind beggar asked each other, “Is this the same fellow—that beggar?”

Some said yes, and some said no. “It can’t be the same man,” they thought, “but he sure looks like him!”

And the beggar said, “I am the same man!”

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

Then they asked him how in the world he could see. What had happened?

And he told them, “A man they call Jesus made mud and smoothed it over my eyes and told me to go to the Pool of Siloam and wash off the mud. I did, and I can see!”

“Where is he now?” they asked.

“I don’t know,” he replied.

The Pool of Siloam was built by Hezekiah. His workers constructed an underground tunnel from a spring outside the city walls to carry water into the city. Thus the people could always get water without fear of being attacked. This was especially important during times of siege (see 2 Kings 20:202 Chronicles 32:30).

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

Steps of Faith

Jesus’ miracles were meant to strengthen people’s faith and lead them to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. Christ’s miracles were significant, not just because of their power, but because of their purpose—to help, to heal, and to point people to God. This man’s simple act of faith in going to wash, as Jesus instructed, resulted in his restored sight. Faith is a step between promise and assurance. Miracles seem so out of reach for our feeble faith. But every miracle, large or small, begins with an act of obedience. We may not see the solution until we take the first step of faith.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”]

Jesus Heals A Man Born Blind

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

Jesus heals the man who was born blind

John 9:1-5

As he was walking along, he saw a man blind from birth.

“Master,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it a result of his own sins or those of his parents?”

“Neither,” Jesus answered. “But to demonstrate the power of God. All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me, for there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end. But while I am still here in the world, I give it my light.

In chapter 9, we see four different reactions to Jesus. The neighbors revealed surprise and skepticism; the Pharisees showed disbelief and prejudice; the parents believed but kept quiet for fear of excommunication; and the healed man showed a consistent, growing faith.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

Suffering

A common belief in Jewish culture was that calamity or suffering was the result of some great sin. But Christ used this man’s suffering to teach about faith and to glorify God. We live in a fallen world where good behavior is not always rewarded and bad behavior not always punished. Therefore, innocent people sometimes suffer. If God took suffering away whenever we asked, we would follow him for comfort and convenience, not out of love and devotion. Regardless of the reasons for our suffering, Jesus has the power to help us deal with it. When you suffer from a disease, tragedy, or disability, try not to ask Why did this happen to me? or What did I do wrong? Instead, ask God to give you strength for the trial and a clearer perspective on what is happening. [xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”]

The Kingdom of God

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

Jesus teaches about the Kingdom of God

Luke 13:18-21

Now he began teaching them again about the Kingdom of God: “What is the Kingdom like?” he asked. “How can I illustrate it? It is like a tiny mustard seed planted in a garden; soon it grows into a tall bush and the birds live among its branches.

“It is like yeast kneaded into dough, which works unseen until it has risen high and light.”

The mustard plant grows to be quite large; in fact, one of the largest plants in Palestine. And yet its seeds are the tiniest. Jesus’ audience easily understood his illustration.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

Let It Grow

The general expectation among Jesus’ hearers was that the Messiah would come as a great king and leader, freeing the nation from Rome and restoring Israel’s former glory. But Jesus said his Kingdom was beginning quietly. Like the tiny mustard seed that grows into an enormous tree, or the spoonful of yeast that makes the bread dough double in size, the Kingdom of God would eventually push outward until the whole world was changed. You are a part of that Kingdom because people have continued to spread the gospel since the days of Christ. What are you doing to continue the growth of the Kingdom?[xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”]

Jesus Heals

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

Jesus Heals

Luke 13:10-17

One Sabbath as he was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a seriously handicapped woman who had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to straighten herself.

Calling her over to him Jesus said, “Woman, you are healed of your sickness!” He touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised and thanked God!

But the local Jewish leader in charge of the synagogue was very angry about it because Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day. “There are six days of the week to work,” he shouted to the crowd. “Those are the days to come for healing, not on the Sabbath!”

But the Lord replied, “You hypocrite! You work on the Sabbath! Don’t you untie your cattle from their stalls on the Sabbath and lead them out for water? And is it wrong for me, just because it is the Sabbath day, to free this Jewish woman from the bondage in which Satan has held her for eighteen years?”

This shamed his enemies. And all the people rejoiced at the wonderful things he did.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”auto-ads”]

In our fallen world, disease and disability are common. Their causes are many and often multiple—inadequate nutrition, contact with a source of infection, lowered defenses, and even direct attack by Satan. Whatever the immediate cause of our illness, we can trace its original source to Satan, the author of all the evil in our world. The good news is that Jesus is more powerful than any devil or disease.

[xyz-ihs snippet=”asynchronous”]

Why was healing considered work? The religious leaders saw healing as part of a doctor’s profession, and practicing one’s profession on the Sabbath was prohibited. The synagogue ruler could not see beyond the law to Jesus’ compassion in healing this handicapped woman. Jesus shamed him and the other leaders by pointing out their hypocrisy. The Pharisees hid behind their own set of laws to avoid love’s obligations. We too can use the letter of the Law to rationalize away our obligation to care for others (for example, by tithing regularly and then refusing to help a needy neighbor). But people’s needs are more important than rules and regulations. Take time to help others, even if doing so might compromise your public image. [xyz-ihs snippet=”Fb-sdks”][xyz-ihs snippet=”Botton”]
