Let us labour … to enter into that rest.

We look for the Saviour.

The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and wordly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works—We, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation—And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the L ORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

The L ORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him .

Praise the L ORD of hosts: for the L ORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever—God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble—I will say of the L ORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust—Who is like unto thee, O people saved by the L ORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency!—As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the L ORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. Our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep.

The chief Shepherd—I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
The L ORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

How great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee!

Since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him—Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

The love of the Spirit—The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost—In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them, and he bares them and carried them all the days of old. Thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD.
