Greetings Brothers and sisters, grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. I thank God for giving me this opportunity to share with you the reason you should believe that Salvation is permanent. The more we know about the depth of our salvation, the more confident we can be in our walk and testimony for and before our great God. Lord God, I ask that you guide me as I delineate your word concerning the permanence of your gift of life, thank you in Jesus name, Amen.
Romans 3:21-26 (ASV)
21 But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction;
23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 whom God set forth to be a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God;
26 for the showing, I say, of his righteousness at this present season: that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him that hath faith in Jesus.
God is the one who determines who goes to Heaven and who does not. God is the Judge of the entire universe. Salvation is permanent because believers have been declared righteous. God has ordained that all who trust in Jesus Christ as their savior are justified. Justified is a term referred to in a court of law, whereas the judge declares a person to be not guilty. God has judged us to be not guilty, we have been justified, and declared righteous. God on the basis of his promise, has taken our sin and imputed it upon Jesus Christ, and He took Jesus righteousness and imputed it upon us who placed their trust in Jesus for salvation. Based upon that confession of faith Jesus redeemed us, by the grace afforded by His blood shed on the cross as payment for our sin and God justified us and declared us to be righteous. Not because we were righteous and earn it, we have no righteousness of our own. The righteousness that God declared us is the righteousness of Christ. God took our unrighteousness and imputed it on Jesus Christ on the cross.
Romans 8:31-34 (ASV)
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth;
34 who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
My friends, it is settled, the Judge of the universe has spoken! The verdict is in, it is settled, His verdict is clear if you trusted in Jesus and the work He did on the cross, God’s verdict for you is not guilty. You have received eternal life. Do you believe? Trust Jesus Christ now tomorrow might be too late. Amen.
God Bless You
