A Guide To The Blind
Greetings friends grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is for me to have the opportunity to share God’s word with you. In this age of technology, the world has access to an abundance of information. A person is able to access information on any subject in seconds. The God of this world takes advantage of the easy access to information to promote his agenda of winning as many people away from Christ as he can. Information in the wrong hands is dangerous and can be used to lead you astray.

There are people that claim that God has chosen them to be a guide to the blind. The problem is that their activities don’t measure up to their claim, they don’t listen to God. They don’t believe that God’s word applies to them. They demand explicit submission to their instructions, but they don’t apply the same instruction to their lives. In order for someone to teach the truth, one must personally know and accept the truth that he or she propounds. Instead of studying and praying to God for understanding, they interpret scripture based on their own perception, they refuse to listen. It ‘s as if they prefer to be blind. They can’t be trusted to lead you because they are blind to the truth and just simply can not see.
Jesus said ” leave them they are blind guides If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit”(Luke 6:39). A blind man can be taught to get from point A to point B safely if the guide is trustworthy and teaches him carefully how to navigate the obstructions and the pitfalls that are before them. However If the guide you trust, don’t obey the instructions himself, how can you trust him? You cannot.

There is no limit to the resources the god of this world will use to win you over. This includes blind guides, that preach their own gospel, they use entertainment, screaming, loud music and the use of words that you don’t understand, to impress you. They put on such a good performance that the message in the sermon they preach is powerless. You are more likely to remember the performance and not the message.
Blind Guides seek to gain your confidence by appealing to your wants and desires. They say the things that sound good to you. They appeal to your flesh. You are inclined to trust them because they are saying what you want to hear. The truth is being obscured from you. Be careful, there is a black hole before you, if you get in the grips of the gravitational pull of the black hole it is almost impossible to escape. Fear not, Jesus can save you from the grip of misleading information that is obscuring your path. Pray that God allows you to hear the truth so that you can believe and see clearly enough to avoid the obstacles, pitfalls, and traps that have been placed before you.
Don’t allow these people that suffer from spiritual blindness lead you away from Jesus. Don’t feel sorry for them because they choose to be blind. Jesus said,” they have closed their eyes”(Matt 13:15). These guides refuse to listen to the truth. They refuse to listen so that they may understand, and be able to see. Instead, their response to Christ is that they can see. Jesus said, ” If you were blind you would not be guilty of sin but now that you claim you can see your guilt continues”(John 9:41).
Just as with Israel of old, so it is with the Church today. Preachers blinded by the god of this world through modernism, selfishness, and materialism are leading people that are spiritually blind into the ditch. There is nothing so pathetic in the physical world as a person who is actually blind, trying to lead another person that is blind. The outcome is going to be a disaster. Spiritually it is tragic when a preacher, a guide to the blind, that is suffering from spiritual blindness is leading others that are spiritually blind. A person who is blind to the truth cannot lead anyone to the truth. Any attempt to do so will surely result in disaster.
Here is the truth, Jesus said ” I am the way and the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except by me (John 14:6). Do you believe Him? For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but shall everlasting Life (John 3:16). Jesus died for your sin and mine. Do you believe that? Jesus wants to give you sight, He wants to give you the truth, He wants to give you everlasting Life. Because He Loves you that much. God Is Good! Amen.
