POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD

12For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart (Heb. 4:12).

Greeting brothers and sisters friends, grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. I thank God for this wonderful opportunity to share with you from His Word. Lord God help me as I delineate your Word that I may say and express those things you would have me to say. Lord open the heart and the minds of those who are reading so that they may understand, If they are Christians let this be a blessing.  If they are not, allow the power of your word to penetrate their hearts. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus name Amen.

When we refer to the word of God we believe it to mean either, the word that was at the beginning with God and is God, which is Christ the living word, or we think of the bible which is the written Word. In Heb 4:12 the verse of scripture is certainly true concerning Christ. However, this verse of scripture is referring to the bible. The written word of God Is living and active, it seizes the consciousness, it cuts deep into the heart and soul. The word of God is pure power and accomplishes whatever it has been set out to do. The word is also active in comforting and healing of one’s soul. The word of God is sharp and is able to cut with such surgical precision that it is able to cut out exactly what is targeted without doing harm to the heart. The soul and the spirit are so intricately connected and are of the same substance that they are one, However only God by His word is able to make the separation and distinguish the soul from the spirit.

It is erroneous to presume that God wants to make us perfect specimens of what He can do. God’s purpose is to make us one with Himself. The holiness movement emphasizes that God is producing specimens of holiness to put in the museum. If this is the concept you accept for personal holiness, you are only interested what you call the evidence of God in your life,  and your life determined purpose will not be for God.  Can you really say “it can never be God’s will for me to sick?  It was God’s will to bruise His own Son (Isaiah 53:10). Why shouldn’t He bruise you? What reveals God in your life is not your consistency to an idea of what a saint should be like, but your genuine personal relationship with  Jesus Christ and your devotion to him whether you are sick or not.

“My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power …” (
1 Corinthians 2:4).

In preaching the Gospel we are not to highlight how knowledgeable we are and how articulate and persuasive we are with words as if by doing so we will be able to bring people to the Lord. We must concentrate on making sure that we are grounded by faith in God, while we proclaim the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. As we make sure that our proclamation is clear we must not depend on that effort alone. We must depend and rely on the Holy Spirit.  We must rely on the certainty of God’s redemption power. God will create His life in people, we can not.

Once you are rooted in the reality of redemption nothing can shake you.  If you put your trust in experiences, anything is likely to upset your faith. Nothing can ever change God or the reality of redemption.  If you base your faith on that, you are eternally secure as God Himself.  Once you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will never be moved again. That is what is meant by sanctification. God disapproves of human efforts to cling to the concept that sanctification is merely an experience, forgetting that even our sanctification must also be sanctified.

And for their sakes, I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth (John 17:19).

Once you are rooted in reality, nothing can shake you. If your faith is in experiences, anything that happens is likely to upset that faith. But nothing can ever change God or the reality of redemption. Base your faith on that, and you are as eternally secure as God Himself. Once you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will never be moved again. That is the meaning of sanctification. God disapproves of our human efforts to cling to the concept that sanctification is merely an experience while forgetting that even our sanctification must also be sanctified (see
John 17:19). I must deliberately give my sanctified life to God for His service so that He can use me as His hands and His feet. 

Jesus said I Am the Way and the Truth and The Life, no one can come to my Father except by me (John 14:6). The only way you can be forgiven and receive the gift of eternal life is t believe in the work of Jesus Christ (John 3:16).  Do You believe? Let me know, Blog Me.

The Law of Opposition

Revelation 2:7).

Greeting Friends, grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. May God continue to bless you and strengthen you for the days to come.  God, I ask that you use me to share your word with those who are and those who are not your people. To edify those who are and to encourage those who are not, In Jesus name Amen

In the natural world and the supernatural realm life without war is impossible. The fact is there is a continuing struggle in the physical, spiritual, mental, and moral areas of life.

The balance between the physical parts of my body and everything around me including the forces surrounding me is health. In order to maintain good health, I must have enough eternal strength to fight off things that are external. Everything outside my physical life is designed to put me to rest. All the elements that sustain while I am alive, work to decay and disintegrate my body once It is dead. Inner strength is needed to fight and help produce the balance needed for good health.  The same is true for mental health. If I intend on maintaining a strong and active mental life, I have to fight. This struggle produces the mental balance called thought.

Morally it is the same. Anything that does not strengthen me morally is the enemy of virtue within me. Whether I overcome, thereby producing virtue, depends on the level of moral excellence in my life. But we must fight to be moral. Morality does not happen by accident; moral virtue is acquired.

Spiritually it is also the same. anything that is not spiritual leads to my troubles and tribulations, but Jesus said ” but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. I must learn to fight against the things that come against me, by following the instructions given by Jesus. Only by being obedient to the instructions given by Jesus can we fight and produce the balance of holiness which is between my nature and the law of God.  Putting the Lord first in all things, then meeting the opposition will be a delight. Trust Jesus today if you have not done so already. You will instantly overcome the world. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life( John 3:16).  Do you believe? Let me know Blog me.

The Temple Of The Holy Spirit

” only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you: (Gen 41:40).

I am under God’s authority and  I am accountable to Him for the way I control my self.  This is the attitude we should have as Christians. Paul said He did not “set aside the grace of God” – or count is as ineffective as to the way He conducts himself  (Gal 2:21).  The grace of God is limitless, and it is absolute, as is the work of salvation through Jesus Christ is complete forever. Once you ask Jesus to save you it is done completely.  You don’t have to go through life with the burden of not knowing if you are still saved, as if God saved you but He left it up to you to stay saved. The work of salvation just like the plan is completely dependent on God.  I am saved, I am not going through the process of being saved. I am saved now for eternity.

 

Since I am saved I am not to live as though I am not. God expects me to use the gifts He has given me to reach out and help others. As a person saved by the grace of God, I am responsible for the acts I perform with my body. I can’t help anyone if, even though I am saved I live and carry myself as if I have not been saved. If I don’t work out the salvation God has given me, in my body, I will not be able to lead anyone to Christ.  One could rightly say: you are telling me to do this and that, but you don’t practice what you preach.  We who are saved must like Paul  ” Work out my own salvation”.(Phil 2:12).  We must be bold and exhibit openly in our bodies the life of Christ.  Paul expressed it this way, ” I discipline my body and bring it into subjection (1 Cor 9:27). God has given us the responsibility to bring our bodies under absolute control. We have been given us the Authority to rule over the temple of the Holy Spirit. This includes our thoughts and desires (1 Cor 6: 19). We are much more harsh in our judgment of others than we are when it concerns judging ourselves’ We make excuses when it concerns something we have or have not done, but we condemn things that concern others. for the simple reason that we are not inclined to do what they have done.

I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service (Rom 12:1). The decision is left up to me to agree with God that my body is indeed the temple of the Holy Spirit.  We must make it personal. once we agree all of the rules and regulations concerning the body Is summed up in this truth. – my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

My friends settle the sin question in your life today so that you won’t have to worry about it in the future. So that you may enjoy your life with a restored relationship with God.  Only God can save you and He made the necessary provisions through the death Of His Son. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved (Rom 10:9).  Do you Believe Let me know, blog me.

Rainbow In The Clouds

“I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth” (Genesis 9:13).

It is the will of God that human beings should get into a right-standing relationship with Him, and His covenants are designed for this purpose. Why doesn’t God save me? He has accomplished and provided for my salvation, but I have not yet entered into a relationship with Him. Why doesn’t God do everything we ask? He has done it. The point is—will I step into that covenant relationship? All the great blessings of God are finished and complete, but they are not mine until I enter into a relationship with Him on the basis of His covenant.

Waiting for God to act is fleshly unbelief. It means that I have no faith in Him. I wait for Him to do something in me so I may trust in that. But God won’t do it, because that is not the basis of the God-and-man relationship. Man must go beyond the physical body and feelings in his covenant with God, just as God goes beyond Himself in reaching out with His covenant to man. It is a question of faith in God—a very rare thing. We only have faith in our feelings. I don’t believe God until He puts something tangible in my hand so that I know I have it. Then I say, “Now I believe.” There is no faith exhibited in that. God says, “Look to Me, and be saved …” (Isaiah 45:22).

When I have really transacted business with God on the basis of His covenant, letting everything else go, there is no sense of personal achievement—no human ingredient in it at all. Instead, there is a complete overwhelming sense of being brought into union with God, and my life is transformed and radiates peace and joy.

You Must Be Born Again 

Greetings my friends, grace, and peace to you in the name of our great God,  in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I thank God for you and this opportunity that He has given me to share His word with you, to increase your knowledge in His word, to enable us to defend the gospel, with wisdom and understanding, so that you can be instrumental in helping others to make a conscious decision to born again by choosing Jesus as their savior. Lord, please bless this effort in Jesus name Amen. 

I have asked numerous people if they had been saved. Many of their answers were very interesting. Their answers were similar.  One of the answers is, I use to go to church when I was young. Or my grandmother would take me to church with her when I was a kid. If I would have asked is your grandmother saved, the answer would be a definitive yes. This is similar to the Jewish people claiming their salvation is guaranteed because of their being descendants of Abraham (John 8:39).  This is erroneous and fatal. 

Along with this erroneous thinking, we devise our own plan of salvation just in case the grandmother theory doesn’t work. We seem to have some knowledge concerning salvation. This knowledge is innate. Such as, we know that God exists, with that knowledge we know that we are accountable to God for our actions (Romans 2:15). God wrote His laws upon our hearts, this is the reason God knows that we know the difference between right and wrong.  Our plan is to experience life and the things that the world has to offer. Then I will do a lot of good works, such as help the sick, feed the poor, and just be a good Samaritan. I figure that I won’t have to depend on what God did for me before the foundations of the world (Eph 1:4). I won’t have to rely on the provisions God made for me out of His love for me, God may change his mind. This is what I devise to do, I will do so much good that when God compare my goodness with my evil works, He will be obligated to allow me a seat at the table in heavenly places. This is an erroneously devised plan and an eternally fatal mistake. Jesus said, “I Am the way and the truth and the life, no one can come to my Father unless it is by Me. 

My friends God is not obligated to anyone for anything. God isn’t dependent on anyone for anything. The fact of the matter is everything and everyone is dependent on God. The one thing we would like to be assured, just as Nicodemus wanted to be assured that what He had been doing is acceptable before God ensuring his place in heaven. Jesus Told Him you must be Born again. Nicodemus was perplexed, He was confused and couldn’t understand how a person can be born again. The Birth that Jesus is referring to is spiritual.  The only way you can be born of the spirit is to believe in God’s Son and the work He did on our behalf, by dying on the cross for our sins. The moment you believe in Jesus, that is when you are born again. It is not dependent on any work you have done to earn it. The new birth is a work of God. Everyone comes the same way, and that way is through Jesus. The moment you are saved the Holy Spirit baptizes you into the Church (Acts 1:5).  You are permanently indwelled By the Holy Spirit, and you are sealed by the Holy Spirit which is a guarantee of your salvation (Eph 1:11). Jesus said ” unless one is born of water and Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5). Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1Cor 15:50). 

My friends face the facts, you must be born again. God has done all the work all you have to do is believe in Jesus. To you the new birth is a gift, to God, it cost the life of His Son.  Do you believe?  Brothers and sisters, I hope this message has encouraged you to reach out to the lost, Jesus is coming soon, Amen.
