IF THERE IS NO RESSURECTION, WE’RE DONE
Greetings brothers and sisters, grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father and of his Son and The Holy Spirit. I thank God for this wonderful opportunity to share His word with you. Father, I ask that you lead me your servant as I express your word concerning the resurrection, Lord open the minds and hearts of those who are reading this message. Lord give me the right words to say that which will remove the barrier that is preventing those who are unsaved to believe in Jesus and His work on the cross, Thank you, Father, in Jesus name I pray Amen.

12Now if Christ is preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14And if Christ does not rise, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up if so be that the dead rise not. 16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17And if Christ is not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ perish. 19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. ( 1 Cor. 15:12-19).
20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept ( 1 Cor 15:13-20).
We have been taught by the word of God that Jesus was born of a virgin, that He is the Son of God. We were taught that Jesus lived a sinless life. We were taught that He died on the cross for our sins. We were taught that He raised from the dead on the third day. We were taught these truths from the scriptures. If Jesus did not raise from the dead the scriptures are not true. Paul makes reference to this in 1 Cor. 15:3-4. Jesus told us that He goes to prepare a place for us and that He will return to get us. So that we can be where He is (John 14:1-5).
we were taught that after Jesus was raised from the dead, He was seen by others. He was seen first by Mary Magdalene, by two disciples on the road, and then by the remainder of the twelve ( Mark 16:9-14). After that, He was seen by over five hundred. It was strange in Paul’s time and it is strange now, that people believe that Jesus was resurrected from the dead. and don’t believe in the resurrection of the dead. This is not logical at all. If there is no resurrection from the dead, then Christ is not resurrected from the dead. You can not have one resurrection without the other. If Christ resurrected from the dead then there is a resurrection of the dead. If He did not resurrect, then there is no resurrection of the dead. If Christ has not risen then we are just preaching because we like to hear ourselves talk. If Christ has not risen then we have no need of faith. If Christ has not risen then we are the worst of all liars.
If Jesus was not raised from the dead why would God give His only begotten Son for the sin of the world so that whoever believes in Him would not perish but would have everlasting life? Satan would have us to believe that Jesus did not die and rise from the dead in three days according to Matt 16:21-23. Satan would have us to believe that we have no savior and that the scriptures are not true.
If Jesus is not raised from the dead, how can a dead savior save anyone? A dead savior cannot fulfill the promises of God. If our savior cannot raise from the dead, then there is no good news to preach, It’s all for nothing. If Jesus did not raise from the dead we have nothing to have faith in. Our faith would be useless. All of the great stories recorded in the bible would be meaningless, like fables cute stories.If Jesus did not raise from the dead then all the witnesses of His resurrection would be false witnesses. We would not be able to trust anything else they had to say. to deny the resurrection is to deny the scriptures, the prophets, and the apostles. If Jesus did not raise from the dead, then we are still in our sin. We as Christians are just as good as dead. If Jesus did not raise from the dead we might as well eat drink and be merry because tomorrow we die, never to live again. We will be without hope.
The good news is that Jesus Christ raised from the dead and that because He raised from the dead we have Hope, it’s a sure thing that because He raised from the dead means that all Christians will be raised from the dead. Jesus is our blessed hope.
