God’s Power At Work
“Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding … abundantly … above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Unto Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end” (Eph 3:20-21).

Greeting brothers and sisters grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father and The Son, and the Holy Spirit. I thank God for you the opportunity to share God word with you today. Lord, I pray that you lead me as I share your word concerning your power which is at work in us. Lord, I pray that you open the hearts and minds of everyone reading this message. Lord help me reach the heart that has not chosen to believe in Christ. Help me address the issue that causes them to not understand. Lord allow this message to be a blessing to all my Christian brothers and sisters, In Jesus name, I pray Amen.
God ‘s power is unlimited, infinite, unmatched nor can it be. Our God is all powerful. God demonstrated His awesome power during the flood. The earth did not just flood because of the weather. The flood was announced to Noah at least 120 years before it happened. The flood was planned by God and controlled by God. God hates sin and it is shown in His power. God did not flood the earth to harm man, but to preserve mankind from sin’s destruction. In the beginning, God separated the waters in the seas and oceans from the water of the heavens. God controlled bringing these waters back together again during the flood. God’s power is still seen today in the every lasting covenant with man memorialized by a rainbow reminding us that God will not destroy the earth by water.
Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh and deliver a message for the need to repent. Jonah did not like these people and did not want God to grant them forgiveness. So Jonah thought He could run and hide from God. There is no place in existence that you could run and hide from God. Jonah hid out in the bottom of a boat. When the men on the boat gave Jonah over to God, Jonah was swallowed by a big fish. While He was in the belly of the fish Jonah learned to pray from the fish’s belly in deep water, and God heard his prayer.
God caused the Sun to stay in its position in the sky for Joshua (Joshua 10:12-14). Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel: “O sun, stand still over Gibeon and moon over Aijalon. So the sun and the moon stood still until Israel avenged itself. The sun stops in the middle of the sky and delayed going down for a full day. There has never been a day like this again when the Lord listen to a man. The Lord surely was fighting for Israel.
In order for God’s power to work in us, unobstructed our spirits must be clear so that His power can flow through us. As individual Christians and parts of the body of the Church, we limit ourselves, because we don’t believe we can do anything. With God’s awesome power at our disposal, there is no limit as to what we can do. The One who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1John 4:4).
Jesus made us a promise that we seem to refuse to use. Jesus Said, ” I tell you the truth anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these (John 14:12). Jesus cured all types of illness, but we are able through His resurrection to deal with the souls of men and make them alive in Christ forever and ever. Why should we rejoice about healing a man for twenty years when we can help a man soul to be healed forever and ever.
We must not be afraid to try the impossible, Gideon accomplished the impossible with 300 men. David accomplished the impossible against Goliath in the name of the Lord. We can be bold and take the risk that seems impractical and unreasonable by human standards. When you try something big make sure that there is no way it can be accomplished except by the power of God. After the resurrection of Jesus, God chose to work his power through Us.
Our faith in God is of utmost importance, we must allow our faith to take over. God is able to take a man like Peter, a fisherman and turn him into a fearless spokesman of God. Paul of Tarsus a Pharisee and a fearless persecutor of Christians God was able to change him into a preacher, church planter, and bible writer. God is able to make 9/10 of your money to go further than 10/10 if you will faithfully give 1/10 to the church. God is able to take a life of sin and disgrace and change it into a beautiful life of righteousness. God is able to take a life that is condemned to eternal pain suffering, and death and change it to a life of eternal Joy and love and peace with Christ in heaven.
Jesus Said, ” Most assuredly I say to you, he who hears my word and believe in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but shall pass from death into life (John 5:24).” If you believe that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved(Romans 10:9). My friends God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask and even think. You might think that you are unforgivable, you might think that you have done so bad that God won’t forgive you. What Jesus said in the above Scripture John 5:24 and what Paul said in Romans 10: 9 opens the door for your salvation all you have to do is believe.
