It is erroneous to presume that God wants to make us perfect specimens of what He can do. God’s purpose is to make us one with Himself. The holiness movement emphasizes that God is producing specimens of holiness to put in the museum. If this is the concept you accept for personal holiness, you are only interested what you call the evidence of God in your life, and your life determined purpose will not be for God. Can you really say “it can never be God’s will for me to sick? It was God’s will to bruise His own Son (Isaiah 53:10). Why shouldn’t He bruise you? What reveals God in your life is not your consistency to an idea of what a saint should be like, but your genuine personal relationship with Jesus Christ and your devotion to him whether you are sick or not.
Human perfection is not, nor can ever be Christian perfection. Christian perfection is the perfection of a relationship with God. A relationship that shows itself to be true even amind the seemingly unimportant aspects of human life. When you obey the call of Jesus Christ in your life, the first thing that comes to mind is the pointlessness of the things you have to do. After which you think of the consistent lives other people are living. If you continue with that type of thinking the next thing will be, that you don’t have to live the way Jesus say in order to please God, that is not necessary, but you can do it your own way. Through your own human effort and devotion, you can attain God’s standard for your life. In a fallen world this can never be done. We are called to live in such a perfect relationship with God that our lives produces a yearning for God in the lives of others. When we are in a close relationship with God we don’t look for admiration for ourselves. Thoughts of admiration for ourselves hinders our usefulness to God. God’s purpose is not to make us trophies in His showcase, He is getting me to the place where He can use me. Let God do what He wants. God wants to Save you from eternal condemnation, He wants to give you the gift of eternal life. God wants you to live in peace with Him, All you have to do is believe in the work that Jesus Christ did on your behalf, and on my behalf and on the behalf of the whole world (John 3:16). If you believe let me know, Blog Me.
God Bless You
