Don’t Get Confused
Greeting Brothers and Sisters, grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit. It is good to be a member of Gods’ Family of believers. God looked upon us in eternity past, before we were even born, even when we were not pleasing to his eyes, and had compassion on us. He saw us in our evil, and disobedient, hateful, murderous, untrustworthy, untruthful, and just highly undesirable state. Absolutely no one righteous, not even one. We were and still are not able to be righteous in our own strength, But God had compassion on us. Not for anything we had done to earn it. Don’t get confused, God has compassion on us, only because He loves us. God’s love is not just emotional words. God’s love is also expressed in action. God knew that the only way to save us would be through the death of His Son. It is by grace you have been saved it is not of yourself so no one can boast, It is the gift of God (Eph 2:8).
17For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God (1 Cor 1:17-18).
God called us to spread the gospel, the problem is that people are experiencing so many problems, sickness hunger, homelessness, unemployment, victims of crime, sorrow, unwanted, unloved, backstabbings, murder, and rape. Every problem conceivable to man. As we contact people that are experiencing these problems, we want to help them. This is good, we must not get confused to think that is what God called us to do. What people need is Jesus, this is what God wants you to do. God called you to tell them about Jesus. God called me to preach the Gospel. God wants us to do this because there is not a problem in existence that Jesus can’t solve. Don’t get confused, I’m not saying don’t help someone in need, make sure you tell them about the one who can solve their problems indefinitely. If you are hungry Jesus will feed you, If you are homeless Jesus will give you shelter, if you are sick Jesus will heal you. Sin is the ultimate cause of all the ills of the world, and Jesus Christ is the ultimate cure. God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but shall have everlasting life( John 3:16).
