Jesus Left It Up To Us
Brothers and Sisters and friends grace and peace to you in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. I thank God for you, and for giving me a platform to share His word with you. I thank you for allowing me to speak to your hearts. I don’t mean to lay burdens on your heart, but there are so many things that are happening that God Has given you the Power to stop one person and even many people at a time. Lord please bless this time and words and cause them to move your people to reach out to those who are lost and undesirable. Thank you, Lord In Jesus name, Amen.
Jesus Said “All power in heaven and on earth is given to me. So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have told you. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of the world.”_ (Matt 28:18-20).
I once read a book by Joseph C. Aldrich Titled Life-Style Evangelism. In His book, He told a story which recounts Jesus return to glory, after His time on earth. Even in heaven, He bore the marks of His earthly pilgrimage with His cruel cross and shameful death. The Angel Gabriel approached Him and Said ” Master you must have suffered terribly for men down there. ” I did He Said. “And continued Gabriel “Do they know all about how you loved them and what you did for them? Oh no Said Jesus only not yet only a handful in Palestine know. Gabriel was perplexed. Then what have you done he asked: “to let everyone know about your love for them?” Jesus said I’ve asked Peter James and John and a few more friends to tell other people about me. Those who are told will tell other people about me. My story will be told through to the farthest reaches of the globe and ultimately all of mankind will have heard about my life and what I have done.
Gabriel frowned knowing what poor stuff man is made of he said “What if Peter, James, and John grow weary, what if the people who come after them forget? What if way down in the twentieth-century people just don’t tell others about you? Haven’t you any other plans? Jesus answered I haven’t made any other plans, I am counting on them. Twenty centuries later He is still counting on us. High on God’s yo do list is for us to take the gospel throughout the world.
God bless you, brothers and sisters, we still have work to do. We need to tell others about Jesus. What they think of me don’t matter, This I know one day they will thank God I told them about Jesus and God will say to me and you, well done my faithful servant, Glory be to God in the Highest, Amen.
