From Water To Wine
Greeting friends, grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who loved us so much that He volunteered to take upon Himself the Sins of the world and die in the place of all human beings, past, present, and future. I want to take this opportunity to encourage you in the Lord, so that you won’t only feel good about what Jesus is doing for you, but will also motivate you to bring others to Jesus who is the only one who can truly straighten our lives.

At some point in our lives, we stop and take inventory of ourselves. For most of us, this is a place that makes us very uncomfortable, we are so horrified at what we see, so we stop looking. No one in their right mind can look and like what they see. That makes us wonder about the possibility of changing what we see. We believe deep down inside that there must be a way to change and clean up the mess we see inside. At the same time, we see that we are unable to clean this one up, we are able to hide what we see but we cannot get rid of it. No matter what we do, we can fool everyone else but we can’t fool God. This is important to us because we know that our presence is required before the Lord and judge of the universe. We want to be accepted in His sight. We feel the need to look inside and this is good because it is the first step in realizing that you need a change and that you are unable to accomplish this task, suddenly you realize that you are powerless. There is nothing you can do. Whatever you do or think that you can do, won’t matter at all.
The good news is that Jesus did something to help you. Jesus did the only work that is acceptable to God. He did it for you and I. He did it for us all. Jesus wants to change your water into wine. Jesus wants you to trust Him to take the water that God has given you, that you polluted with all types of impurities and Change it into fine wine, choice wine, the best. making us able to be presented to God without spot or wrinkle.
(John 2:1-11 )And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said unto him, They have no wine. Jesus said unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother said unto the servants, Whatsoever he said unto you, do it. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus said unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he said unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And said unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and manifested forth his glory, and his disciples believed in him.
Jesus will remove the impurities in our water and replace them with the right nutrients. Hate is one of the most powerful pollutants contaminating the Human heart. It influences the acquisition of many of the other pollutants and must be neutralized and replaced by love. Jesus wants to teach us about the error in the practice of deception, that leads to idolatry, and the belief in magic. Jesus will replace these practices with Faith in the living God. Faith is a necessary and powerful purifying agent and is a requirement for salvation
Jesus wants to remove from you the desire to cause discord, dissension, and factions with the desire to bring about peace. Jesus wants to calm your heart and increase your understanding. This will enable you to get over the need to participate in lewd behavior such as orgies, debauchery, and drunkenness and fits of rage and give you strength to exercise self-control.
Jesus wants to remove from you, selfish ambition and give you a kind heart. Finally, there is the monster that has taken up residence in you called Jealousy. Jesus will give you the strength you need to tame that inner beast, the destroyer, and killer. In the process of changing you into fine wine, He must subdue and tame this beast, called jealousy.
It is important to understand that Jesus doesn’t work magic, He doesn’t buy into fairy tales and incantations. At the wedding feast, the servants were told to do whatever He says to do, Do it. Because of their obedience, they were able to participate, witness and taste the finest wine they have ever tasted and probably ever would.
This is what Jesus says, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting Life (Jn 3:16). The only requirement is that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He died for your sin, and ask Him to forgive you. If you have done this, your relationship with God has been restored and the purifying process has begun.
