Judging
Judging
Greetings brother’s and sisters grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father the Son and the holy Spirit, I am thankful to God for giving me another opportunity to share with you according to His word concerning Judging. Lord help me give clarity to your word that others may understand, Open up the eyes of understanding for those who don’t know Jesus so that they may understand and seek to be saved. Thank you Father in Jesus name Amen.
Sometime when we read scripture and we don’t quite understand what the scripture is saying . The verses either don’t make sense to us or seem to be contradictory , there could be any number of reasons for this. We must not jump to the conclusion that the scripture is wrong. If we say that the scripture is wrong, we are also saying God is not telling us the truth. That is just what got in this mess in the first place. As you can see God takes this matter very seriously. The bible is not to be read as a book of literature, although you will find in it the best literature ever written, The Bible is not a history book, however history is recorded 100% accurately. The bible is not a book of science, but where ever science is recorded it is absolutely correct. The bible is God’s holy Word and is absolutely true. When we run into this type of contextual problem the first thing we should say is there must be a reason for this discrepancy. God has equipped us with the ability to seek out the truth. The scripture says that if a man want wisdom let Him ask God. This is the first thing we need to do.
Judge, Is a word that has different meanings although similar. For example : A magistrate is public officer authorized to hear and decide cases in court; a person appointed to decide in a competition, contest, beauty contest, horse race, basket ball game and so on; to form a critical opinion, you can’t judge a book by its cover; The ancient Hebrew Judges governed Israel.
One truth that seem to be known to all people all around the world. Is Judgement day. That is the day that the world will stand before God and be Judged. God is either going to Judge a person guilty or not guilty. The salvation of all human life past , present or future is dependent upon the grace of God through Jesus Christ. For example God told Abraham “5Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”6And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness (Gen 15:5,6). God took Abraham sins and placed them on the cross which at that time was future to him. everyone who lived at the time of Christ incarnation and believed in Him at that present time I, their sins went on the cross and God declared them righteous. Now today everyone who believe that the Son of God died for our sins, our sins went in the past upon the cross. When we confess that Jesus Christ died for our sins God Judged us right then, and declare us not guilty. Anyone that does not confess belief in Jesus Christ, God will declare that individual guilty of sin, and the wages of sin is death. God’s verdict is not based on our not being sinners, but because Christ did not sin and gave His life for us. Based on what Christ did for us and our faith in Him, God declared us not guilty and gave us the gift of eternal Life.
1Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Matt 7:1,2). This is the eternal law of God, The Judging that God is referring to has more to do with rash, censorious, and unjust Judgment. Jesus also explained it as condemned. Jesus didn’t condemn the judgement of a magistrate for that when it is according to Justice is lawful and necessary. Nor does He condemn us for forming an opinion of conduct of others. It is impossible for us not to form a opinion of conduct that we know to be evil. What Jesus is talking about is the habit of Judging hastily and harshly without allowance for every palliating circumstance and a habit of expressing that opinion harshly and unnecessarily when formed. This is a private Judgement rather than a judicial one, and is connected to the customs of the scribes and the Pharisees. This type of judgement is from someone who believe that by nature they are better then others, when at the same time they are rotten to the core.
As Christians we should have the attitude that we are not better than anyone else, and that God love everyone else Just as much as he love you and I. When Christians think by judging others by agreeing with God, they will find favor with God, fool themselves. If we are really honest with ourselves and with our analysis we would realize that we are sinners too. We were saved from our sins by God. The wages of sin is death and the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Sin is what we have in common with all men, we are all sinners. The difference between Christians and unbelievers Is that we are saved sinners and they are not. My pastor Dr. Robert J Patten use to say we are not sinless but we sin less.
Judging is not the same thing as recognizing that a person is behaving reckless, or that a person is breaking the law, or that a person is being disrespectful , or exhibiting road rage, or that a politician is not honest. God gave us Good sense and expect us to use it. If a bus or car is speeding and approaching you standing on the curve and you believe that if you step in front of the car or bus you will be killed or badly injured, you wouldn’t step off the curve. God provided you with the mental faculties to analyze a situation and make the right decision to remove your self from danger. God gave you the ability to recognize a person who is displaying the type of behavior that displeases Him. The same with politicians, if you know they are not right you have the right not to vote for them. It is also the same with people that are controlled by the enemy. God expect us not to associate ourselves with them. God does expect us to recognize what we see and respond in the appropriate manner. God want us to make decisions based on the proper analysis of the information available to us.
You would be surprised at how many Christians who agree with God concerning sin in which someone else committed as if they are innocent and yet they do the same thing. This is foolishness, God can see your heart, you cannot hide anything from him, ask God for forgiveness. A Christian should have the attitude of thankfulness to God, because if it wasn’t for the grace of God you or I would suffer His retribution.. We are not stupid, God has given us the ability to recognize right from wrong without taking God’s place as Judge. God expect us as Christians to be examples to those who are not saved. God desire us to live out the Christian life in this world. We are not of the world but we live in the world. We are to glorify God by the way that we live.
Jeffery Daimer killed 17 boys and men in Wisconsin and committed all types of atrocities and someone asked me, If Jeffery came to belief in Christ and asked God to forgive him and that he believe Jesus died for his sin, would God forgive him. Based on the scripture yes, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation13For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”£(Romans 10:9,10,13). I don’t know if Jeffery Daimer Confessed Jesus based on these verses of God’s word. But if he did then God saved Him, Amen. If you are not saved and you confess belief in Jesus and ask God for forgiveness, God will forgive you also.
