What We Believe

I believe that the Bible is the revelation of God. It is a disclosure from God to man which otherwise would not have been known of God’s person, purpose and works in acts and words. God is the revealer of His word. God speaks and His word cause all things to come into being. He reveal Himself as powerful and wise (Gen 1:3). God reveals Himself in the community of the God Head (Gen 1:26).

I believe that God don’t speak personally to all men because man rejects God’s revelation (Rom 1:18-23). God’s general revelation in nature and the conscience of men is not enough to bring man to a saving knowledge of God. It contains enough to bring about responsibility and guilt.

I believe that because of our fallen state God chose to reveal himself through propositions. To particular persons in history by supernatural means know as special revelation. I believe that the Bible is the living written word of God. The Bible make claims to be the word of God in the Old and New testaments ( Lev 1:1-2: Isa. 1:2 Hos 1:1). The New Testament also makes claims ( Cor. 14:37; Rev. 1:1).

I believe the scriptures are the result of the creative breath of the God (Ps 33:6). I believe that the scripture is of divine origin. it is not man’s idea or creation. Men wrote or spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit ( 2 Pet 1:20-21). I believe that God through the Holy Spirit superintended the human authors of the sixty six books of the Bible so that using their own personalities they composed without error God’s revelation to man in the original autograph.

I believe in the inerrancy of the Bible, and that it is infallible and in deceivable     because scripture is wholly and verbally given by God it is without fault or error in all its teaching, including what it states about God’s acts in creation, and the events in history and about its own literary findings,  and origins under God, also to its witness to God’s saving grace in individual lives. Because God is true His word is truth (Je 10:10 Jn 17:3) because God is the source of scripture it is inerrant ( 2Tim 3:16).

I believe in the authority of the Bible. The scriptures are the final word of faith and practice for Christians and they demand obedience. The Bible is authoritative when it involves mind, will or laws of God. Christ exhorted to a knowledge and obedience to the scriptures (Jn. 5:33-47). Christ was also submissive and obedient to the scriptures (Mt. 4:1-11).

I believe in the existence of God , and that He created the heavens, earth, and man in six days and on the seventh day He rested. ( Gen 2:2). I believe that God chose to reveal himself to man. Apart from God’s disclosure to man in which He reveals truth about Himself that would otherwise not be known. God revealed Himself in two ways, through general revelation and through special revelation .

General Revelation I believe that God has made aspects of Himself known to all mankind through the universe and nature (Ps 19-:1-6 Rom. 1:18-21). God has revealed his invisible attributes, his eternal power and divine nature  so that mankind is without excuse (Rom. 1:20). I believe God also made Himself known to all humanity through conscience, giving all mankind an innate knowledge of Himself (Rom 2:14-15).

Special Revelation : I  believe in time past God revealed himself in dreams. He spoke audibly to some and through  theophany’s  to others. In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets and many times in various ways, but in these last days He spoke through His Son (Heb. 1:1,2 (John 1:18). The scriptures and Christ is the most important aspects of special revelation (2 Tim 3:16).

The attributes of God is defined as those distinguishing characteristics of the divine nature which are inseparable from the idea of God and which constitute the basis and ground for his various manifestations to His C\creatures. God’s attributes  are to be distinguished from His works. God’s attributes don’t add anything to God: the reveal His nature.

Absolute Attributes:  Spirituality, I believe that God is spirit (not a spirit).  God does not have a body which localizes. God can not be limited. God is not material, but He is substance (Jn. 4:24).

Self Existence : I believe that God is not dependent on anyone or anything outside of Himself for His existence. God is independent in His being. He is independent in everything else. God causes everything to depend on Him (Ex 3:14. Jn. 5:26).

Immutability

God is absolutely perfect and is devoid of all change. There is no variation or shifting of shadow with God. God does not change in His person or in His response to His creatures ( Mal. 3:6 Ja. 1:17).

Unity: God is numerically one. He is one in essence. God is unique there is no other person like Him anywhere at all. God is not a composite being; He cannot be divided into parts ( Duet. 6:4 Ex 15:11 1Cor 8:6 1Tim 2:5). Because He alone is God He will not share His Glory with another 1Jn. 5:21).

Truth: God is absolutely perfect in His being by virtue that He fully answers to the idea of the Godhead.  He is perfectly reliable in His revelation. He is the one true God there is no other. His word and His revelation is reliable. He knows thing as they are. He is the beginning and the source of all truth and he is trustworthy (Isa. 44:8-10; 45:5; Num. 23:19;  Rom. 3:3-4; Jn 14-1,2,6 Heb 6:18; Titus 1:2).

Love : God is love: (Jn. 4:8). God displayed his love for us in that He sent His Son to die for our sins. God love is not just emotional but also rational and is grounded in truth.

Holiness: God is absolutely distinct from all his creatures and is exalted above them in infinite majesty. God is without peer and awesome. He is separate from moral evil because He is morally pure. He cannot condone evil nor have any relationship with it. God is the moral and  ethical standard ( Ex. 15:11, Isa. 57:15 Lev. 11:44, 45 Ps 11:4-6).

Relative Attributes

Eternity; God is not limited or bound by time. He is above all temporal limitations. With God there is no distinction between past , present, and future. God’s eternity extends backwards to infinity and forward to infinity. God see everything as eternal now. In relation to man God see everything as eternal now (ps 90:2).

Immensity

Is that perfection of divine being by which He transcends all spatial limitations and  yet is present in every point in space with His whole being. ( Kings 8;27; Isa 66:1 Jer  23:23,24 Acts 7:48,49) The heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain thee.

Omnipresent

God in the totality of His essence, without diffusion, or expansion, multiplication or division penetrates and fill the universe in all its parts ( Ps 139:7-12).

Omniscience

God knows all things that exist in actuality, even the thoughts of man before he thinks them (Ps. 139:1-6; 147:4 Matt 6:8; 10:28-30). God knows all the variables  concerning things that have not occurred (Matt 11:22). God knows all future things because God know all things in one eternal act, the eternal now (Dan 2:36-43; 7:4-8). He know what is going to happen Matt 24:25; Rev 6:19). His knowledge is intuitive, It is immediate, and it is not acquired through observation or reason. It is according to reality.
