Brothers, Sisters, and friends, grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ, who laid down His life for us all for righteousness. I thank God for this opportunity He has given me to share with you concerning the blessing of being pure in heart, a peacemaker, and being persecuted for righteousness’ sake. Lord God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that you Help me as I divide your word concerning blessedness. Father, help me choose the right words that are needed to help others understand, especially if they don’t know Christ and are concerned about the forgiveness of their sin. Father, I thank you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God(Matt 5:8). It is amazing how a person changes after becoming a Christian. After conversion, a Christian experiences continuing changes in the heart. These changes consist of a change in mind, a change in values, and a change in character. The changes a person undergoes are continual and do not stop until Christ presents us to God perfect or until we go home.
Love for God and obedience to Him are the catalysts by which we are changed. Once we become Christians, the Holy Spirit teaches us. Once you believe something, it is incorporated into your consciousness. For example, if you believe that if you stand in front of a bus that is coming in your direction at fifty miles an hour, it will crush you, then that knowledge which you believe enables you to decide not to step in front of that bus. Concerning this enablement, you have changed. Before gaining that knowledge, you would probably stop before the bus. One of the main reasons people don’t want to put their trust in Christ is that they believe they will have to change or give something up that they don’t want to. The other reason is that they will be under the authority of Christ. My friends, don’t allow your concern for change to be a deciding factor in trusting Christ. You don’t have the power to change yourself; if you did, then God would not have had to send His son. It is the same as a person’s excuse for not submitting to what God has done for them and saying will go and straighten a few things, and then I will ask Jesus to forgive me. You can not straighten a few things out if you could you wouldn’t need Christ. saying
When we become Christians, the Holy Spirit teaches us. The more we obey Him, the more He teaches us. And the more we change. God is not so much interested in our outward appearance; He is interested in our inward appearance. God is more interested in that which is in your heart. Jesus told the Pharisees that it is not what goes into a man’s mouth that defiles his body; it is what comes out, that is what defiles his body because that which comes out of his mouth comes out of his heart ( Matt 15:16-20). Outwardly, you may be grimy and dirty, work in a sewer, smell bad, be unable to take a bath, and have ragged clothes, but on the inside, you have a pure heart that God desires us to have. The type of heart a Christian will have because the word of God has been dwelling in his or her heart, changing it from the inside and is manifested on the outside. Everything about this person has changed, there is hardly anything left of who that person use to be. His heart is being made pure, and His thoughts are becoming pure. His reward is that he or she will see God, first by faith, then by sight.
Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God (Matt 5:9). God is interested in making peace and reconciliation. This is not to be confused with what Jesus said when He stated, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law,’; and a man’s enemies will be those of his household.’(Matt 10:34-36). Jesus is saying that conflict would be the inevitable result of His coming. In many cases, a person’s family would become his or her enemy. This is true even today. Peacemaking is God’s work, and He is the author of peace. It is a work of reconciliation and is what Paul said of God’s work in Christ. ” and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross “(Col 1:20). It is through Christ blood on the cross that God reconciled us back to Himself. God want us to be peace makers. God want us to pursue peace actively. We are called to peace. We are to strive for peace, and as much as it depends on us, we live peaceably with all men. God wants us to forgive one another just as He forgave us and gave His Son’s life as a sacrifice for our sins. Amen. Peacemakers are called Sons of God.
How blessed are those persecuted for righteousness sake, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them? How blessed are you whenever people insult you, persecute you, and say all sorts of evil things against you falsely because of me? Rejoice and be extremely glad because your reward in heaven is great! For that’s how they persecuted the prophets before you”(Matt 5:10-12).
No matter how hard you try, you cannot make peace with everyone. Some just don’t believe in what we believe in. Some find the very thought of God, of Jesus, of the Holy Spirit very distasteful. They despise righteousness. “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also (John15:18-20).
The world hates Christ, and their attack on you is an attack on Him. The world attacks Christ for righteousness’ sake. Jesus said rejoice for great is your reward in heaven; be glad, for this is a sign of your reward. Don’t be sad; think of your reward and rejoice. Rejoice. They did the same to the prophets that came before us. They did the same to Jesus. John 13:16 Jesus said Truly, truly I tell you a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is sent greater than he who sent him, now that you know these things you are blessed. Remember what I told you: A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.
Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God, blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called son’s of God, and blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Rejoice and be glad this reward is great in heaven. Listen, when you are attacked by the world, it could come out of nowhere and take you completely by surprise, devastating, unbelievable. Stop and look at what has happened; even your reaction to this attack is obscuring from your mind that it is not you who they are attacking. They are through you attacking Jesus. What is happening is that God uses the very attack to bless you. Don’t feel bad or down, rejoice and say thank you Lord. This is evidence that you have a great reward, a great blessing, just for you in heaven, in heaven, with the Lord. No one can take it away from you ever, praise God Amen. No more suffering, no more pain, no more worry, no more tears, no more hunger, no more fear, no more thirst, no more hate, no more sickness, no more disease, no more death, Heaven, streets of gold and diamonds and rubies and precious Gems, and God and Jesus and everyone who received God’s wonderful gift of Grace (Jesus).
